The Seeker is a quarterly review for the discerning reader - although not the downright fussy - set up by three individuals who wished to make a stand for compelling new writing.
Produced in Glasgow, Scotland, The Seeker is far from exclusively Scottish in focus. It is willing to be taken wherever its contributors lead it, in the belief that on such paths the small nation never knows where it might find itself.
Please e-mail submissions to glasgowseeker@hotmail.com. Poetry can be of any length or style; prose submissions must be under 3000 words. The articles category has the broadest remit: we invite articles, including reviews, on any subject. Editorial policy favours “voice” and journalistic value over academic rigour.
The Seeker aims to ensure clarity, intelligence and flair in all three of its sections. We have no desire to prescribe a uniform style, but we are looking to develop written voices that invite attention because of their humour, directness or personality, as well as their contemporary significance.
Deadlines for submissions are as follows:
30 Apr, 31 July, 30 November, 31 Jan
Work will be accepted, accepted with suggested revisions or respectfully returned. Due to the number of submissions received, the editors do not offer feedback on work they decide not to publish.
